Also: (1) Rinse thoroughly, (2) Cut an X on one side, (3) Lightly coat with oil, and (4) Wrap in aluminum foil.

Cooking Timetable:
1 ear - 1 1/2 minutes
2 ears - 3 to 4 minutes
3 ears - 5 to 6 minutes
4 ears - 7 to 8 minutes
6 ears - 8 to 9 minutes.

SEASONS

Asparagus is harvested from late February to June. While widely available most of the year, its peak season is from April to May. By the end of June, asparagus is at the end of its season in most locations.

Cabbage: February - A staple in many Eastern European cuisines, cabbage is sometimes underrated but shouldn’t be overlooked. From salads and slaws to pickled sauerkraut, it’s a healthy, versatile winter staple. Try it roasted for added flavor!

Cantaloupe: From June through August, cantaloupes are at their peak of flavor. Along with tasting great, they're an excellent source of vitamin A, beta-carotene and vitamin C. Whether you enjoy them sliced, cubed or halved, cantaloupes are a refreshing, healthy addition to salads, desserts, beverages and more.

Corn on the Cob: I think Kathy E. said, "Early August" (Or it might have been early September).
